I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of our brothers who have served in the June Ordeal as elangomats. The role that these individuals play in our lodge is crucial, and it is one that we cannot overlook. New members of our lodge are the strength of our organization and the first people they interact with when they begin their Ordeal process is the elangomat of their clan.

As we know the word elangomat means friend, but in the duties they perform to new ordeal candidates these elangomats become so much more. They are a guiding force and a helping hand not only in carrying out cheerful service under the strains of the ordeal, but in the introduction to new ideals, the ideals of our Order.

If you’re interested in serving as an elangomat please contact a member of our committee.
