Brothers,

As we continue through the year, let’s take a moment to reflect on the work we have done for others and the progress that we’ve made as individuals. The work that we do with the Lodge helps others but it also helps us in our own development as individuals, and that could sometimes be hard to remember while providing service.

Through the character development that the lodge encourages we are able to build new connections with other members of the lodge and also push ourselves to new limits we didn’t know we had. Through the guiding principles of our Order we gain new experiences and opportunities. We must remember that the key to having fun and learning something while part of the Order of the Arrow is to remember the ideals that we agreed to follow when we took our Ordeal. Cheerfulness, brotherhood, and service.

With these ideals in mind we gain the ability to gain a fuller experience in what we do with the Lodge, and in what we do with others. With this in mind we should reflect on the work we’ve done with the Lodge so far, and what we plan to do next.
