With the new year starting, here is a list of all of the Order of the Arrow’s section level and national level offerings for 2023.
Section Events
The 2023 Section E17 Conclave is being hosted by Japeechen Lodge 341, June 9th-11th at Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation in Barnegat, New Jersey. The theme for the event is “Brotherhood Beach Bash”, very fitting since the camp is close to the Jersey Shore. There will be a lot of fun programming and fellowship at Conclave! National Events
2022 was filled with so many great events hosted by National, and 2023 will be no different. Check out this year’s national offerings here.
National Leadership Seminar & Developing Youth Leadership Conference
The National Leadership Seminar and the Developing Youth Leadership Conference are great training opportunities and even better overall scouting experiences! The first sessions of the year were held in Richmond, Virginia, February 17-19 and March 24-26, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Other courses include September 8-10, in Hillsdale, Michigan, and November 10-12, in Atlanta, Georgia. OA High Adventure
The Order of the Arrow has amazing high adventure opportunities! With OA High Adventure, Arrowmen go on a 1-2 week trek at BSA high adventure bases such as, Philmont Scout Ranch (OA Trail Crew), Florida Sea Base (OA Ocean Adventure - not offered in 2023), Summit Bechtel Reserve (OA Summit Experience), and Northern Tier (OA Canadian Odyssey and OA Wilderness Voyage). Half of the trek will be service filled, providing service to the chosen high adventure base, and the rest is an adventure determined by the Arrowman. National Jamboree
The 2023 National Jamboree will be held July 16th-29th at Summit Bechtel Reserve. Operation Arrow is the Order of the Arrow’s service effort to the jamboree, and will be a major contributor to the overall program and running of the event. For more information, go to https://oa-bsa.org/jamboree.
NOAC 2024
The 2024 National Order of the Arrow Conference will be held at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. Lowwapaneu is looking for a NOAC Chairman, so if you are interested in the position, reach out to the lodge adviser for more information.
